Mae pob pleserau is y rhod
Yn darfod maes o law;
'R wyf innau'n brysio yn ddi-oed
I'r byd sy'r ochor draw.
Pe bawn yn meddu aur Periw
A pherlau'r India bell,
Gwreichionen fach o ras fy Nuw
Sydd drysor
canmil gwell.
Gwell gennyf na
phleserau'r byd
Un funud o fwynhau
Gwedd Iesu hardd,
a rydd o hyd
wir fywyd i barhau.
Dymunwn roi ffarwél yn lân
I holl deganau'r llawr,
A 'mroi trwy ras i fynd ymlaen
Ar ôl fy Mhrynwr mawr.

Tonau [CM 8686]: gwelir: Mae ngolwg ar a wlad Pob pleser is y rhod Pe meddwn aur Periw |
All the pleasures below the sky are
Passing away presently;
As for me, I am hurrying without delay
To the life which is on the far side.
If I were to posses the gold of Peru
And the pearls of distant India,
Little sparks of my God's grace
Are a treasure a hundred
thousand times better.
Preferable to me than
the pleasures of the world
One minute of enjoying
The beautiful countenance of Jesus,
which will still bestow
True life to endure.
I would desire to bid farewell completely
To all the fair things of below,
And give me through grace to go on
After my great Redeemer.
